Our Vision
Healthy Living Starts in the Garden
Join us in making Washington a model for food as medicine.
Our Mission
Collaborating with health districts, school districts (public & private), conservation districts, food pantries, and emergency services in their efforts to prevent—not just respond to—disease through consulting, instruction, programming, and garden design assistance that nourishes communities. This includes addressing sustainable food solutions within urban boundaries, garden-to-food bank programs, and healthy living initiatives supporting Food for Cities.
Baton Health's Teladan® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing whole-person care and community wellbeing. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Give the Gift of Health This Holiday Season Support Teladan: A Garden Movement for Food as Medicine
We grow more than food—we grow hope.
Every raised bed supports healing, nourishment, and connection for neighbors facing diabetes, autoimmune illness, and food insecurity. What started in Snohomish County is now a proven model ready to scale across zip codes and across Washington. Join us this season in planting seeds that restore health, uplift communities, and teach others to do the same.
Nutrient-Rich Local Harvest
Real food. Real impact.
Raised beds deliver peak-fresh produce that retains critical nutrients—essential for blood sugar regulation and immune health. Our Edmonds-based teaching garden currently shares produce with families managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and autoimmune conditions.
“This food has changed how I eat—and how I heal.” — local participant
Scalable. Local. Proven.
One backyard. 500+ lbs. of produce.
Our teaching garden shows that a single community-driven space can yield over 500 pounds of shared produce annually—feeding elders, neighbors, and the Edmonds Food Bank. Imagine the potential as we scale one home, shared space, and zip code - together.
Healing Through Hands-On Integration
Where clinical care meets community roots.
Our gardens aren’t just for growing food—they’re for growing hope.
We host:
Nature-based mental health sessions
Food literacy workshops for patients & providers
Garden retreats for caregivers & medical teams
“Baton Health's Teladan gave our clinic staff a way to reconnect as a team and with our supporters—to slow down and experience (delicious) restoration and prevention firsthand.”
